Farm Themed Play
Ducks 🦆, Cows 🐮, Pigs 🐷 and Sheep 🐑 on a magical Farm 🚜. So much fun to be had ‘Down on the Farm’. This simple play tray is great for developing your munchkins fine motor-skills, language acquisition, social and emotional skills, learning about the world, early counting skills and most importantly of all, leads to lots of imaginative play!
Quite simple to set up! For our ‘Down on the Farm’ playtime we used;
Wooden farm buildings
Small toy farm animals
Happy land toys
Soil/Mud from the garden
A blue plastic sheet for the pond
Grass cuttings
Red lentils
Cous Cous
To make the the Farm edible, we exchanged
the soil for flour mixed with water
we used rice/spaghetti dyed green for the grass
To add to the fun, we paired the finished farm up with songs and rhymes such as
Old McDonald 👨🏽🌾 👩🏽🌾

We also read some stories from children’s farm books 📚
